Foldes Architects collaborated with glass sculptor Andras Bojti to compose the engaging illusion effects in the entryway hall. “The notion derived from the definition of lens, the implies of vision, and also we took inspiration from the higher-technology of the lens industry, therefore clean, intelligent, integrated options as effectively as playful reflections, gloss surfaces and transparency played fantastic importance in the course of the design and style.” says Laszlo Foldes, chief designer at Foldes Architects. “This notion is supported by the resin flooring, the glass bridges, the opened-up volume and the tremendous flow of light streaming by means of the glass façade and the glass roof.”

“To the façade a massive glass surface is used to maximize the amount of light flowing in. Following entering, the 10 meter higher volume remains open and a 24 meter-lengthy passage welcomes guests with a sloped glass surface at the finish which tricks the vision. On the proper hand side the core functions are positioned: initial a lounge with a 24m2 glass wall presenting the visual ID of the business, then a cloakroom hidden by ‘floating’ glass doors and lastly the rebel pink glass covered cafe like kitchen and the mechanical space behind.”

“Above, a wooden box is cantilevered, a house within the residence, which serves as an auditorium with 32 seats and an integrated interpreter-cabin for conferences. The box can be entered from the upstairs guest region, through two green glass bridges. The next bridge gives access to the fitting area exactly where clinical coaching is delivered and the newest lenses can be seasoned.”

On the ground floor a white door opens up the secret of the Sauflon Centre of Innovation – guests can enter the production area right here which provides a special chance to acquire an insight into the technologies utilized by one of the most pioneering businesses in optics. beck residence horst architects view Beck Residence By Horst Architects dream home building

Horst Architects lately redesigned this loft apartment perched atop a rocky seaside promontory in Corona del Mar, California.
Perched atop a rocky seaside promontory, this loft renovation is an efficient response to the difficulty of restricted space with simplicity and restraint getting the guiding principles of the design remedy. The customers requested a design which would accommodate workplace operate by day and intimate social and familial gatherings by evening. The interior spaces have been entirely reconfigured into an open program evolving around a double height entry volume containing the principal stairway. Sliding partitions and fabric behind frameless glass have replaced classic signifies of enclosure and spatial transition. A sculptural interplay of material, light and form define spaces, which are both intimate and communal, sheltering but expansive. Indoor and outside living is integrated by frameless, bi-folding doors. Windows are positioned to embrace the view of the harbor, while second skin systems such as wood shutters mediate the late afternoon sun and provide privacy. The altering play of light on surfaces, the breezes that move via and around the structure, the touch and smell of walls and gardens, the play of colors, the sound of spaces all play a element in the reception of architecture as it is lived in, and are important determinants in our well being.

The forthcoming exhibition MOBILIA, at the Atomium in Brussels, that runs from February 12 till June 15 2014, focuses on the talent of architects whose function, because the late nineteenth century, has evolved beyond the style of buildings, to the creation of furniture and objects. Belgium hasn’t bucked this trend. Some emblematic movements of modernist architecture had been initiated, among others, by Belgian architects Victor Bourgeois (photo n°1) and Huib Hoste with Le Corbusier. They have been particularly active in the course of the 1st International Congress of Contemporary Architecture (CIAM) in 1928. Yet the story remains reasonably unknown to the basic public. roof top pool house aamer architects A Property With A Roof Leading Pool By Aamer Architects dream home building

This modern and exclusive private residence developed in 2012 by Aamer Architects located in Singapore.“Tan’s Garden Villa” Back in 2001, the Owner, Mr Adrian Tan, commissioned Aamer to design his house(s) at No 42. There a huge bungalow plot was divided into two to accommodate separate but identical homes which won the prestigious Singapore Institute of Architects’ Design and style Award in 2004.

Some 10 years later Adrian acquired the plot subsequent door, No 40, with the intention of developing an additional home and therefore possessing 3 homes one particular for themselves and a single for every single of their two grown up sons with their future families.

The concept, consequently, was to design and style the new home in sync with the preceding two but diverse, of course. Adrian particularly requested for a garden courtyard and koi pond. Hence, the swimming pool was designed on the roof with wonderful views over the estate and surrounding houses which are largely 2 storey bungalows.

Also, for this residence, because the sons are already in their late teens and early twenties they wanted a lot more space and privacy. So an exciting preparing layout placed the boys’ rooms outdoors by way of a verandah terrace with their own accessibility from the ground appropriate up to the rooftop entertainment room and pool garden terrace.

Significantly like the 1st two houses the components are very organic like timber, marble and granites, blending well with the lush vertically stacked gardens.

In addition, similar to the very first two homes, gardens and greenery are crucial to the Owner. So while the first two homes had trees increasing through wooden balconies, this time creepers are twining up vertical timber trellises that extend above the rooftop swimming pool. Even the bath rooms are open to gardens with lush flora and fauna like birds & butterflies generating this a truly vertical garden villa!

Lucerne Residence in Auckland by Daniel Marshall Architects

Description from the Daniel Marshall Architects:
“Daniel’s style response was to wrap the garaging around a central ‘pergatoria’ – a term coined by the italian architect Terragni for an entry courtyard. The garage doors detailed to disappear into the adjoining cedar exterior. This region also incorporates the entry, conceived as a 3 level atrium that entices the visitor up to the living level and to the eventual revelation of the views of the Auckland landscape beyond. The curved edge of the infinity pool echoes the kind of Orakei basin and draws the sea view closer to the house.

The aesthetic and detailing of the home is intended to be quietly sophisticated making use of a restricted palette of materials. A number of bespoke items developed particularly for the home by the architects enhances the glamour of the setting – these incorporate a chandelier with hand blown glass spheres by Katie Brown, a front door handle crafted by David White and the panels behind the dining table painted by Daniel Marshall.”

Description from Fran Silvestre Architects
“The extremely steep plot of land provides such spectacular sea views that it invites a single to invest time, unwind and do absolutely nothing. A piece is incrusted into the sloping land, keeping its natural profile which is overshadowed by the house on best. Taking into consideration the steepness of the land and the want to include the living region on one storey, a 3-dimensional structure of reinforced concrete slabs and pieces that adapt to the land’s topography was selected, thus decreasing earthworks to a minimum.

A horizontal platform is designed by this stone-anchored monolithic construction on the level of access from the street, where the living area is located. The swimming-pool is located on a decrease level, in a flat location of the web site. The concrete building has external thermal insulation with a versatile, smooth, white grout lime coating. The remaining components, walls, flooring, roof ballasting… are in the same colour, underscoring the homogeneous character.”

modern house design by project architects on world of architecture Modern Day Home Design By Project A01 Architects architecture
Villa Freundorf is contemporary property designed by Project A01 Architects close to Vienna, Austria. Perfect location, inspiration in futuristic architecture and imagination of quite talented architects led to this outstanding modern day home design and style.

On the very first sight, this house reminds me a tiny bit on this ultra contemporary villa proposed for Arsuf, Israel. Those two residences are wonderful example of the course where modern day architecture is heading to. Uncommon shapes, minimalist interiors, really clean surfaces and above all, barely visible line amongst interiors and outside living space.

Unusual shape is one thing I would chose to be the very best factor in this contemporary residence. It really creates an opportunity to be creative in design. The house then delivers way much more than just roof above your head. In this case I really like how windows are arranged all over the place, filling the space with so much wanted daylight. Take a appear and judge it by oneself.
